Perhaps Contraption is a multi-award winning, classically trained, 9-piece progressive brass band and theatrical music troupe from London.
Possibly the world’s only 9 piece art-punk marching band, and definitely the only ones who have created a jaw dropping piece of gig theatre about our place in the cosmos (Nearly Human), Perhaps Contraption branched out into theatre, to push the boundaries of live music performance, and find a totally new way to engage audiences in complex concepts, whilst introducing them to new genres of performance art and music.

They have performed at Glastonbury Festival, The EFG London Jazz Festival, Bestival, London Roundhouse, Cross Linx Festival (Netherlands), Southbank Centre, Latitude, Artisti in Piazza (Italy), Buskers Bern (Switzerland), and supported Amanda Palmer throughout Europe.
