GIG: Kugelschreiber + Adrian Bell (DJ set) – 25 Jan 25

If you’ve never heard the music of Sharron Fortnam, you’ve not only missed a trick, but the whole deck of cards. Her delicate voice has the capacity to transport your conscious mind to places only seen in vivid and colourful dreams. Blend in the pleasantly jagged sensibilities of James Larcombe, Jen Macro and Chip Cummins and you have a recipe for a very unique group that is simultaneously adventurous and undeniably easy on the ears.

We were also delighted to have Adrian Bell selecting some tunes before and after the live performance. Known to many as ‘Belch’, Adrian hosts the Progressive Alternative radio show and could probably take the title of ‘best known Cardiacs fan’ after he wrote the brilliant memoir ‘Aylesbury Bolton Wolverhampton Hove: A Little Man and 101 Cardiacs Gigs’ (now almost impossible to get hold of, but recommend borrowing a copy if you can!).
